About us
Company
Founded by husband and wife Gui Alinat (a professional chef) and Caitlin
Curtis, Chefscape is a small, enthusiastic, family-run travel company focusing
on off-the-beaten track culinary vacations. We are no tourist factory. In fact, we
only organize a couple of  culinary trips a year. Excellence and attention while
abroad is what you want to get.

We know our destinations like the top of our hands. Our job is to connect with
our clients, make them experience the culture and essence of our destinations,
and make their trip unforgettable. Many remain regular friends afterwards.
Our clients usually know us by reputation through our Tampa, FL-based sister
company:
Chef Gui of Provence Catering. But sometimes not. Don’t hesitate to
call us. We are easy to talk to and can’t wait to hear from you.

Our sister company: Chef Gui of Provence Catering
Chef Gui of Provence Catering has been providing elegant, exclusive catering
to private homes or corporations since 2001 and has become a culinary
landmark in Tampa Bay. We focus on inspired cuisine and talented, ultra-
professional staff. We work hard, but clients tell us we are also fun to interact
with.

Our team caters intimate dinners and gala events alike. But we make each
event an exceptional, seamless culinary experience.
Caitlin Curtis, PhD
Caitlin, a US-born Marine Biologist, knew her future would be made of crusty baguettes and stinky cheese the
day she met her French lover (now husband).

Thanks to her open-mindedness, sharp sense of humor and relentless love of red wine, she was able to
make it through a year or two in Provence, in spite of serious cultural differences and a French-speaking
family in law. In fact, she is now so completely immersed in her adopted culture that she is fluent in French,
has developed impeccable taste for all things French, including a new appreciation for comedian Jerry Lewis.

Besides organizing exceptional trips to Provence and Mexico, she lives and works in Florida, sharing her time
between the family’s haute cuisine business and her two bilingual children.
Gui Alinat, CEC
Born, raised and trained as a chef in Provence, Gui 's culinary style can be best described as authentic
continental gourmet cuisine with slight influences from Provence and other parts of the world. Rustic yet
elegant, his food embodies simplicity of taste, authentic ingredients and sharp presentations.
He focuses on sound nutrition and a very natural way of cooking and eating.

Chef Gui writes a monthly column for the award winning food section of the St. Petersburg Times. And in order
to constantly promote the Art of Good Food, he regularly organizes relevant culinary events such as wine or
olive oil tastings, artisan cheese tastings, cooking classes, culinary trips and demonstrations.

Chef Gui has appeared on local and national TV, and has participated in the bestseller "The St Tropez Diet".
